When your team is discussing a new source talk about the following:
- What argument does the author make? What is his/her thesis?
- What claims and assertions does the author make?
- Does the author consider any counter arguments? How does he/she present them?
- Is the author's argument effective?
- How does he/she use pathos, logos, ethos?
- How does the information presented change your own ideas about the topic?
- What ideas, statistics, or quotes might you want to use in your debate? In you individual argument essay?
